About College 1959
Kishan PG College was established in 1959 by Pandit Shiv Harsh Upadhyay. The college offers graduation and post-graduation courses in various courses of science and arts stream. The college is back bone of higher education in Basti. Not only this the college is known as the 1st degree college of Basti.Rishi 'Pt Shiv Harsh Upadhyay' was a Gandhian follower and also known as Pt Madan Mohan Malviya of Basti because of his significant contribution in establishing an education institute to impart quality higher education and learning in the area. He had sacrificed his life for improvement of Shiv Harsh Kishan PG College for providing quality education for huge financially poor mass in the the vicinity of Basti Siddhartha Nagar Sant Kabir Nagar. Among all past and present leader, Pt Shiv Harsh Upadhyay was outstanding because of his excellent contribution for poor people of Basti to cater the demand of best quality education.
About Alumni Association 2018
In The year 2018, Mr. Durga Dutt Pandey, an Alumnus of the college discussed the thought of building SKPG Alumni Association with some other alumni. That gave birth to SKPG College Alumni Association. The purpose of SKPG College Alumni is to foster a continuing and comprehensive relationship between the Faculty and its former students as well as to promote unity and friendship.
At present nearly thousands students are every year graduating from the college. A journey continuing since 1959, It has produced many distinguished well-known personalities who have successfully established themselves in different parts of the globe. This strong community is truly a family, sharing common interests, goals and ideals; thus, living out the College's mission.
In order to get together and revive the sweet old memories of their stay at college campus, the association plans to organize every year a Meet.
To share day-to-day reviews and opinions, alumni association is very active in social network groups.
मुझे यह जानकर अत्यंत ही खुशी हो रही है कि शिव हर्ष किसान स्नातकोत्तर महाविद्यालय के पुरातन छात्र और छात्राएं न केवल बस्ती जिले में बल्कि देश और दुनिया के विभिन्न भागों में बहुआयामी प्रतिभा को परिलक्षित कर रहे हैं। ऐसे प्रतिभावान छात्र छात्राओं को मैं बहुत-बहुत शुभकामनाएं और बधाई देती हूं जिन्होंने अपनी प्रतिभा के माध्यम से उच्च पदों पर आसीन होकर समाज के प्रति अपने दायित्व का निर्वाह किया है और अपने महाविद्यालय की छवि को नई ऊंचाइयों पर पहुंचाया है।
